    • November 2024  - Spelling Bee announced and study lists are given to interested 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. 
    • December 18th, 2024 MKEMS 9:15 am - 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Spelling Bee. Parents are invited.
    • February 4th, 6:00 pm - Hazleton High School  - District Spelling Bee - 6th, 7th, and 8th grade winners from MKEMS compete against other HASD students in the district. 
    • March 16th, 2:00 pm -  Wilkes Barre Area High School - The Times Leader/Scripps NEPA Regional Spelling Bee.
