COACH DARROUGH
It is unimaginable that I am writing this and it is one of the hardest things I have ever written. We have lost a loving member of our HAHS Shooting Team Family. Coach Dave Darrough was one of the best. He dedicated his time and talent as a coach to our club for over 15 years and was respected and loved by everyone who met him. His energy and excitement for the sport was contagious. It was very apparent how much he loved this club and all of it's members. He loved to see our kids excel and I know he was proud of each and every one of them.
Coach Darrough also served as the President of the Hazleton Area Outdoor Sportsman Support Group for many years.
I cannot imagine this club without him and it will never be the same, but I hope that we can honor him by continuing to do our best, "One bird at a time". We will never be able to fill his shoes but we will do our best to continue to make him proud. All 3 of his children were members and they will always be a part of our Shooting Club Family. It was a pleasure and honor to have known him. I considered him a friend and I am thankful for that. We will never forget the great times we shared as a team and the trips to various competitions. He was THE BEST banquet speaker and he set that bar very high.
His love for his family was very apparent. He spoke of them often and was always excited when he did so.
Please keep his wife Colette, sons Ryan and Patrick, and his daughter Meghan in your thoughts and prayers, as well as his mother.
We will miss you, Coach
Sincerely,
Stacy McCuen- HAHS shooting club
