    Grading Breakdown

    1. Class Participation 25%

-Students are given a current event question daily. This question is answered through covering a CNN10 daily current event video. Each student has a PDN packet, and these are checked on a weekly basis. If a student is absent, they are NOT responsible for making up the PDN.

    1. Homework 25%

-Homework will consist of terms along with online textbook assignments. In the beginning of each section, students will be given a list of definitions that they will be responsible for copying and memorizing. Class time will be given to complete these, but anything that isn’t finished in class will be for homework. Textbook assignments will also be the same. They will be started in class and anything that is unfinished will be for homework. The textbook for class is entirely online and can be accessed with any device.

    1. Quizzes 25%

-Quizzes will be given at the end of each section in the online textbook site (Savvas). Quizzes are open notebook, and students can go back in the text to help them answer the questions that are in the quiz. All quizzes will be announced at least 2 days in advance.

    1. Tests 25%

-Tests will be given at the end of each unit. All tests will be announced at least 2 days prior to the test. Tests are based on the terms that are covered in each unit. We will spend at least 1 day prior to the test reviewing in class, and students will be responsible for studying at home to prepare for tests.
