Positive Behavior Support
The Hazleton Area School District PA Pre-K Counts and Early Intervention programs participate in a state-wide initiative called Positive Behavior Support.
These programs make every effort to ensure the children's environment minimizes challenging behaviors and supports the children's development of social-emotional skills.
Our Positive Behavior Support Policy provides guidance to teachers, other professionals and parents in the use of Positive Behavior Strategies so that we can all help our children grow socially and emotionally. Just as we teach our children math, science, and literacy skills, we teach them the skills they need in order to make friends, share, follow rules, etc. Positive Behavior Support provides us with the resources to enhance this development so that our children will flourish.
