• ART IS AN INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE OF COMMUNICATION AMONG PEOPLE
     
    ELEMENTARY ART (Grades K-6)
    Art in the elementary school assures the child is growing visually, perceptually, creatively and develop the ability to think critically.  Through line, shape, color and texture children will explore and express themselves,discovering new things that are visually satisfying.  Art is for all children and the pontentialities of each child must be fully developed.  Art satisfies the needs, interests and capabilities of children at different age levels in relationship to their stage of creative growth and understanding. 
     
    MIDDLE SCHOOL (Grades 7-8)
    Art in middle school continues to encourage the creative development of students as individuals.  Eager to experiment, students are allowed to develop different solutions using a common set of fundamentals, the elements and principles of art and design.  Students will learn about past and present cultures while being introduced to different materials and techniques.  This will facilitate with student’s self expression and individual interpretation of the world and their surroundings. 
     
    HIGH SCHOOL (Grades 9-12)

    Art in high school will continue to develop skills of artistic self evaluation.  Students will be introduced to more advanced techniques and different materials to represent their individual uniqueness and creativity.  Students will showcase their talents while effectively problem solving to accomplish specific artistic goals. Students will focus on and experiment using previous and current techniques along with their knowledge of art and design to create different works of art.  These achievements will suit the needs, capabilities and interests of each student, individually.
