• Physical Education Curriculum:
     
    Students will choose daily which cardio options and strength training they will complete recording the data in their fitness log notebooks.  The fitness logs will monitor their progress beginning with baseline data both pre and post quarter such as:  weight, body fat %,  muscle %, BMI, and fitness testing.  This curriculum is focused on individualized fitness progress for each student with no team sports. 
     
    Cardio choices:  Wii Just Dance, Wii Biggest Loser Competition, P90X, Insanity, T-25, Hip Hop Abs, Turbo Jam, Zumba, Treadmill, Cycling, Elliptical
     
    Strength training can be customized with different exercises for each muscle group.
     
     
    Health:
    We will be using the Liftetime Health textbook, as well as other supplmental teaching materials.
     
    9th grade- Responsible Relationships - Chap. 19 (s.1,2), Male and Female Reproductive Systems, Fetal Gestation - Chap. 18 - Sexually Transmitted Infections and Contraception- Chap.  20 (s.2, 3) and 21 (s.1,2)
     
    10th grade- Substance Abuse and Prevention Chapter 10 (s.1, 2), Chapter 11, 12, Nutrition, Lifestyle Diseases, and Eating Disorders Chap. 7 (s.1,2, 3), Chap. 8 (s. 1, 2, 3), and 14
