• In Person Testing at District Buildings

Before bringing a student in to administer testing, follow the procedures listed below.

Part 1: Contact the parent about in person testing.  If the parent agrees to bring his or her child to the school, be sure to tell the parent that he or she will not be allowed in the building.  If the parent agrees to that, follow with these three questions.

    1. Have you or anyone else in your household been out of the state/country in the last two weeks?

    1. Have you or anyone else in your household been exposed to anyone who tested positive for Covid-19 within the last two weeks?

    1. Are you or anyone else in your household experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19?

*If the parent answers yes to any of the questions above, the student cannot come in the building to test.  You will need to document this in the parent contact log and then try to reschedule or assess virtually.  If the parent answers no to all three questions, you will then set up a date and time for that student to come in.

Part 2:  Please make sure to notify the building principal, vice principal, office, security and nurse that a student will be in the building for testing when a testing date and time is established.

Part 3:  The day of the assessment, you and the nurse will greet the parent and student at the door.  The student’s temperature should be taken and if there is no temperature, the same three questions you asked on the phone should be asked again.  If the answer is no to all three questions, the student is cleared to enter the building.  Make sure the student is wearing a mask (you should also be wearing one) and escort the student to the designated area as determined by the building principal.  The testing space should be set up prior to testing with PPE equipment on hand (sanitizing wipes, hand sanitizer, sneeze guard, tissues, disposable masks if needed).  Please make sure to ask the student if he/she needs to use the restroom prior to testing.  You should also provide the supplies needed such as a pencil and/or calculator and these items must be sanitized before and after use.  Be sure to follow social distancing recommendations (6ft. of space) when walking through the hall, and when possible, during testing.
